The Leading Lady Dinah’s Story (Audible Audio Edition) Betty White Tom Sullivan Audible Studios Books
Loved the two voices and the story of Dinah. Had trouble reading the parts where Tom didn't plan ahead for his dog and it led to problems. It's honest and he did learn from his mistakes.Product details

The Leading Lady Dinah’s Story (Audible Audio Edition) Betty White Tom Sullivan Audible Studios Books Reviews
I really enjoyed this story of a wonderful guide dog written from the perspective of her 2 famous owners. Betty white gave her the end of life care she deserved.
I had read The Leading Lady- Dinah's Story, so time ago. I wanted to read it again and could not find it at my library. I am glad I was able to purchase this on at a reasonable price.
I read this book 20 years a go. I liked it then, but since it was a borrowed book, have not been able to re-read it. I have looked for it in the local lLibrary and book stores, and never found it. I was excited to find it on ! In doing so I found another book by Betty White and Tom Sullivan, which I also bought. I am excited to read both!
Bought for my mom and she thoroughly enjoyed. Anything by Betty White is a winner.
Two inspiring people and an even more inspiring Leading Lady make for a wonderful book. A choice no one wanted turned out to be just what everyone needed. Not a great piece of classic literature but a perfect, easy, quick read for those days when you need reminding that sometimes there really is a happy ending. Couldn't put it down, and I appreciated the larger font of the typeset. Am hoping it might be big enough to pass on to my mother whose eyesight, much like Dinah's, isn't quite what it used to be.
As a dog lover and advocate for service dogs, this story touched me to the core. At one point I gave up the ghost and just put a paper towel in my lap and let the tears fall. I first read this book many years ago as a Reader's Digest condensed book and it stayed with me all these years. Somewhere along the line, the book disappeared. When I saw it was being re-released, I jumped on the chance to grab it up and read the full version. I loved it just that much. Dinah was Tom Sullivan's first guide dog and when she became too old to work (a guide dog working for Sullivan has to have her A game) she just fell apart. Enter Betty White who takes Dinah into her home and heart. It's also a story of transition - Tom's new guide dog is nothing like Dinah! I can't even write this without crying! This story is about love, pure and simple. A must read. You won't be sorry!
Very enjoyable. Understanding a working dog and owner relationship was interesting to read. The chapter that talked about time in the zoo was fascinating.
Loved the two voices and the story of Dinah. Had trouble reading the parts where Tom didn't plan ahead for his dog and it led to problems. It's honest and he did learn from his mistakes.
